Rodwell is one of our most decorated players, but his journey has not been all sunshine and rainbows. He has been through thick and thin in his career. In 2012, Rodwell had an unfortunate injury leaving him with a broken leg at a time he was at a peak in his career, the same day, there were scouts who had come to watch him play.
Fast forward, he recovered and bounced back into action again. Rodwell’s great achievements include being crowned Soccer Star of the year for two consecutive years (2017 and 2018). He went to South Africa and unfortunately his new mission was not as fruitful. For Rodwell fortune struck twice, FC Platinum still had trust in him and took him back in 2020. The lesson that he shared is that ships don’t sink because of the water around them, ships sink because of the water that gets in them.
“Do not let what is happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.” -Unknown- We all go through pain; life has a way of pushing our dreams down, but do not dwell on the pain or what did not work, rather turn around and remember your dream.
